Nicholas Rozakis, DC, CFT

A chiropractor with over 25 years experience, Dr. Rozakis has treated and helped thousands using hands-on adjusting techniques that are gentle and effective. During this time he has helped people recover from chronic and acute conditions such as migraines, neck and lower back pain, acute sprains and strains, neuritis, TMJ syndrome, asthma, sciatica and disc problems to name a few.
Several years ago Dr. Rozakis realized the results obtained by his patients were lasting but only as long as those results were " maintained" before their next visit. He attributed this deficit to improper physical postures, sedentary lifestyle, poor eating habits and high stress levels. The patients who were healthiest were the ones who exercised regularly and also practiced sound nutritional guidelines, maintained good physical postures and showed ability to control their stress level.
Utilizing methods set forth by the International Sports Sciences Association and NY Strength, Dr. Rozakis developed the 'Everlasting Fitness' program of fitness conditioning. This program has resulted in improved biomechanics and noticeable overwhelming health benefits for our patients. The side effects associated with the program are usually a renewed vitality, restoration of energy, clarity of mind, increased strength, increased agility and an overall feeling of well-being.
Dr. Rozakis received his chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College and fitness certification from the International Sports and Sciences Association. The methodical implementation of fitness conditioning guided by expert chiropractic skill has greatly enhanced the results obtained with his patients.
Dr. Nick is also a professional musician and vocalist. He specializes in the postural mechanics of the artist to treat and help prevent chronic injuries associated with repetition imbalances and to enhance levels of performance.
Yolanda Sabino
Licensed Massage Therapist
Yolanda is a Licensed Massage Therapist and proud graduate of New York College of Health Professions. She employs an eclectic blend of techniques with a focus on Deep Tissue work. Every session with Yolanda is tailored to the individual clients needs and she loves to incorporate both Western and Eastern modalities including: Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release. Reflexology, Acupressure, Compression, Shiatsu, and Thai Massage. She is certified in Prenatal Massage and loves to work with clients throughout the childbearing cycle. She believes stretching and massage go hand in hand and incorporates effective stretches into her massage sessions with special attention to the client's range of motion. Her intuitive hands are highly effective at finding and releasing patterns of tension. Yolanda also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and outside of her work as massage therapist, she has worked for the New York City Department of Education and in school setting for over 20 years. Joseph LoGosso, CPT
Certified Personal Trainer
Joe received his personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He attended the University of Bridgeport where he majored in health and sports sciences. He was also a star collegiate athlete (baseball) at that institution and went on to play semi-pro for 2 years until injury forced him to switch to coaching. He has a unique talent as a personal trainer and specializes in sports condtioning for adolecents and adults.
Sallyann Amato, CA
Chiropractic Assistant and Office Manager
Sallyann has been office manager and personal assistant to Dr. Rozakis for over 25 years. She has been responsible for running the office in a smooth and efficient manner and is always available to help our patients with their questions.
Sallyann is also an addiction counselor certified through the Resource Center of Brooklyn and specializes in emotional disorders associated with substance abuse. She is trained in sign language and has worked extensively with the hearing impaired.
On many occasions Sallyann has given her personal time with our patients who have had difficulty coping with stressful situations. This has helped Dr. Rozakis immensely in reducing muscular tension brought on by anxiety. He refers to her has his 'secret weapon'.
She is currently writing a book based on her workshop 'How to Laugh at Life' (see 'Services'). Her unparalleled dedication and humorous demeanor make her an extraordinary asset to our office.
Jacqueline Luna-Knapp, M.S.T.O.M.
Licensed Acupuncturist
Jaqueline recieved her training at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in N.Y.C. where she went on to teach pediatrics and oncolgy in Chinese Medicine. Based on her extensive research in Chinese Medicine she has developed techniques and skills which have helped her achieve remarkable results with her clients. A mother of four, Jackie lives right here in Bay Ridge and shares an office with her husband Douglas Knapp who is also a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Full Moon Acupuncture in Manhattan. Sunny Rozakis
Publicity and Communications Administrator
Bouncing back and forth from New York City to Adirondack Park, Sunny spends most of her time in Lake Placid where she operates her own retail business. She attended college for fine art, voice, drama and hospitality. She is a director/performer at the Lake Placid Center For The Arts and Adirondack Mogul Film Productions. She is on the committee for the annual Lake Placid Film Forum and scholarship committee for promising talent in that region. Sunny is also group sales manager, special projects coordinator and official photographer for the Golden Arrow Resort. The daughter of Dr. Nick Rozakis, we are grateful that she takes the time from her busy schedule to assist us.
